Kenmore Asphalt Plant May 6 2026 website information- PLEASE CALL IN COMPLAINTS IF YOU DETECT BAD EMISSIONS

On April 16 2026 at 11:32am on 181st in Kenmore, near the Masers and Library, a citizen of Kenmore and board member of PERK detected noxious emissions coming from the asphalt plant. The report was made in person immediately at the counter at city of Kenmore. All good, except the resulting validation is too slow. The city enforcement agent checked out the odor complaint a day later. This system is not an effective way to regulate odor emissions to promote public health and safety and community trust that the system works. Since the production of asphalt at the plant is intermittent, and the smells do not linger, attempting to verify the odor a day later is not going to protect public health and safety and may actually create a false impression that the emissions do not exist.
