2. FRIDAY AUGUST 13th from 12 Noon- 1:30pm : Signage RALLY on BURKE GILMAN TRAIL for Clean Air in the Northshore Area -KENMORE- Meet across the street from the Kenmore CADMAN asphalt plant, 6431 NE 175th St, Kenmore, WA 98028. (We will be on the Burke Gilman Trail side of the NE 175th street.) Bring mask, water, SIGNS. It will be HOT! 95 degrees predicted.
WHY? At the unanimous direction of Kenmore City Council, the City of Kenmore cosigned with Representatives Gerry Pollet and Javier Valdez and Senator David Frockt a letter to Governor Jay Inslee requesting he issue an emergency proclamation to halt asphalt production during hazardous air quality events.

Join us on Friday, from 12 noon – 1:30 pm to stand in solidarity for clean air. Hear speakers, write a postcard to Governor Inslee in support of the emergency proclamation request (postcard writing materials and stamps provided), and Wave A Sign to raise awareness. Bring your mask, a sign (Message example: Governor: Stop the asphalt when the air pollution is hazardous!)
Thank you,
